WALL APPAREL 2.0

TIME FOR CHANGE...

In order to use the valuable resource wood sparingly and sustainably, we have specia- lized in boards with a veneer top layer, ie a thin layer of noble wood on a base board.

So, compared to solid wood, we can sustainably produce much more square feet of pure comfort from the same amount of material.

The result is a lively and natural old wood structure inspired by the breathtaking Alpine landscape of Austria: The ALPINEBOARD.

  • PROCESSING

Sawing: The Embossed Boards can be easily cut with sharp hard-metal saw blades. The use of a scorer is not absolutely necessary, but is recommended. However it is to be ensured that cutting is not performed at excessive feed speeds.

Milling: When milling and profiling one should use tools with hardmetal tips.

Drilling: For drilled holes the tools and machines commonly used for machining wood materials can be used.

Surface: To achieve a machinable surface, light brushing (plastic) or rubbing with “Scotch-Brite” is recommended to remove any glue residues that can occur through the embossing process. The embossed board is then ready for oiling or lacquering. The exact processing instructions of the respective oil or lacquer manufacturer are to be observed.

Edging: Rough cut surfaces should be oiled, lacquered or edged. For this it is possible to obtain edges matching the respective top surface from our assortment. The standard thickness is 2.2 mm, other thicknesses are possible on request.

  • Remarks

The specifications in this data sheet are based on tests that we ourselves have performed and on own experience. However they cannot cover all parameters to be considered in the respective case of application and are therefore non-binding. The specifications represent neither a quality guarantee in the legal sense, nor an assurance of characteristics. No legal claims can be derived from these specifications.
The asymmetric profile can lead to slight cupping when using large formats without sufficient fixing points. Deviations in colour and structure are not grounds for complaint, as real wood veneer is a product of nature. Complaints due to technical defects will be accepted within 10 days.

Inspired by nature

Decades of weathering have turned the wood of old mountain huts into unique pieces of art.

From some of the most beautiful surfaces of these real old wood beams, we have taken a casting mould and developed an embossing matrix.

In a special, innovativ production process, we press this natural pattern into various wooden surfaces.
